Plage des Ondes is a hidden gem on the western coast of Cap d'Antibes, a small sandy cove facing the Iles de Lerins and the Esterel mountains. Far less crowded than the Garoupe, this intimate beach offers a quieter, more local atmosphere while maintaining the same exceptional water clarity.
The beach is predominantly sandy with some rocky sections, and the shallow water makes it suitable for families. There are no beach clubs or restaurants directly on the sand, giving it a natural, uncommercial feel that many visitors prefer. A small parking area serves the beach, but spaces fill quickly in summer.
Plage des Ondes is particularly magical at sunset, when the Esterel mountains across the bay turn deep red and orange against the darkening sky. It is also the western terminus of the Sentier du Littoral coastal path, making it a perfect reward at the end of the walk around the Cap.
