Walking the Sentier du Littoral is the essential Cap d'Antibes experience, a 5-kilometer coastal trail that reveals the wild, untamed side of this glamorous peninsula. The full circuit begins at Plage de la Garoupe on the eastern shore, rounds the dramatic southern tip of the Cap, and emerges on the western side near Plage des Ondes. Allow two to two and a half hours.

Bring water, sunscreen, and a swimsuit. There are several swim-accessible coves along the way but no shops.

Diving and Snorkeling

The waters surrounding Cap d'Antibes are a protected Natura 2000 marine area, making them some of the richest and clearest on the French Riviera for underwater exploration. Snorkeling is accessible to everyone directly from several beaches and rocky coves, while scuba diving operations offer guided dives around the Cap.

The Baie des Milliardaires underwater trail is the best entry-level snorkeling spot: shallow, protected, and full of marine life.

Kayak and Paddleboard

Exploring Cap d'Antibes by kayak or stand-up paddleboard is one of the most rewarding ways to experience the peninsula's coastline. From the water, you gain a perspective impossible from land: hidden caves, rocky arches, and secluded coves reveal themselves.

Paddle from Plage des Ondes at sunset for the most spectacular views of the Esterel mountains turning red.

Sailing

Cap d'Antibes sits at the heart of one of the finest sailing grounds in the Mediterranean. The Societe des Regates d'Antibes operates from two bases: one at Plage de la Salis and another in Juan-les-Pins. They offer lessons, boat rentals, and organized sailing activities.

The sailing club at La Salis rents catamarans and dinghies by the hour with no advance booking needed for experienced sailors.

Water Sports

Beyond sailing, kayaking, and diving, Cap d'Antibes offers a full spectrum of motorized and towed water sports for thrill-seekers. Operators provide water skiing, monoskiing, wakeboarding, wakesurfing, and tubing experiences. All sessions are accompanied by qualified instructors.

Book water skiing and wakeboarding sessions for the morning when the water is calmest.
